I purchased these to test the acidity of BBQ sauce that I planned to can for long term storage. The test strips are easy to use, though the tomato product in the sauce stained the litmus paper, putting the accuracy of reading the results of the test strips in question. This is a decent product, though I think you would be limited to testing products less colorful then a tomato based product.

I purchased the PH strips to check the anti-freeze in my car (better to check it yourself than ask the repair shop to check it). I used the strips to get a Ph reading from the container of anti-freeze I’d used to refill the radiator, and checked that against tht PH of the anti-freeze in my car. Strips are color coded and were easy to use. A biological control for fungus gnat larvae. Uses a variety of bacillus thuringiensis bacteria to kill the larvae. Apply as a soil drench or add to the nutrient solution of your hydroponic system. Does not kill adult fungus gnats, but once the larvae is killed, the adults will quickly die off. Gnatrol did not work. After 3 heavy doses to plants in our home over a period of 3 weeks, the fungus gnats continuied to thrive.I would not recommend this product. I had to resort to flying insect spray to get rid of the fungus gnats.

This is the greatest product for getting rid of the pesky gnats. I have over 100 houseplants and every time I bring them in after their summer outside, I have swarms of gnats bothering us. I tried all sorts of things to get rid of them, but this product is the only one that makes them disappear completely.

It is especially important to keep some on hand for any new plants you buy because that has happened to me. I bring a new plant in from the store and it has the gnats and they spread from one plant to another. I just put the new plant in another room and use this product on it. Was easy to put together. Seems very sturdy. Easy to tip the compost tumbler around for air circulation. It is big, but sits nicely in a corner of our back yard. Says first couple batches of compost takes longer than the rest, so eagerly waiting for compost. Been using it around three weeks or so. Seems to keep any smell at bay. No bad odors near it and so far so good, it is pest free. Overall I would say it seems like a good product for composting. Glad I didn’t buy the even bigger one! If you want your compost sooner I would recommend buying some compost starter, because I think it will help it compost even quicker especially with the first two batches which are supposed to be slow.
